Museobottega della Tarsialignea – MUTA
Renowned for its tradition of handicrafts, Sorrento is particularly famous for its wood inlay work (intarsia). The museum is devoted to historical and contemporary collections of objects made using this technique. The nineteenth century collection of paintings, furniture and inlaid wooden objects is accompanied by a contemporary collection of the work of artist Alessandro Fiorentino who creates objects for art galleries and products that are sold as museum merchandise.
