Museo Paleo-Lab

The Museo Paleo-Lab is situated in an area close to the palaeontology museum of Pietraroja where fossils have been discovered. The museum, which opened in 2005, contains video projections, scale models and various fossils found in the area. Scipionyx Samniticus is the most important piece in the collection on display in the museum because it has both soft tissue and internal organs: a unique specimen which is really worth seeing. The fascinating itinerary is made even more interesting by the interactive activities that take place during the “Paleo-Lab” tour.
