Villa Arbusto Museo – Archeologico di Pithecusae
The Pithecusae Archaeological Museum (Museo Civico Archeologico di Pithecusae) is situated in Villa Arbusto, a splendid 17th century villa at Lacco Ameno. The seven rooms in the museum are devoted to various periods of the island of Ischia: prehistory, the Bronze Age, the pre-Hellenic Iron Age, the Greek period of Pithecusae until the Roman period of Aenaria, as Ischia was known by the Romans. The exhibits on display in the museum in Villa Arbusto include vases, documents written in Greek, Corinthian pottery and grave goods.
