MuSA – Museo degli Strumenti Astronomici
Musa is an astronomical observatory owned by INAF (Italian Physics Institute). It is situated at Capodimonte and was built by the Bourbon dynasty close to the royal palace. The museum contains instruments from the historic collection dating to the 19th and early 20th century: photometers, calculators, telescopes and spectrographs. Two particularly interesting exhibits come from the Farnese collection: the Reichenbach meridian circle and the first edition of De Reveolutionibus Orbium Coelestium by Copernicus.
