Complesso Monumentale di Santa Maria La Nova
The monumental complex of Santa Maria la Nova, situated in the historic centre of Naples, includes a church, a former convent and a museum which contain various artistic and religious works. The church, which was rebuilt in the late 16th century, has seven chapels on each side of the nave and a gilded wooden ceiling. It contains works by artists such as Luca Giordano, Giovanni da Nola and Fabrizio Santafede. The convent, which was active until the end of the 19th century, has two cloisters with frescoes by Luigi Rodríguez and Andrea De Lione.
